We have been meaning to eat at this Oklahoma City landmark for years. It had an all-smoking policy for years, and we just would not go there. When the location moved, it went all non-smoking, and today we tried it out.
Raegan and I got the famous Chicken in the Rough. It was heavily breaded, and somewhat greasy. One of the pieces had almost no meat on it. There was an OK taste to it, but it was not “fully” tasty. The gravy was good. The mashed potatoes were really lumpy, which is not a bad thing. Erin got pancakes and liked them. Ian got chicken fingers and liked them. I tried them, and liked them better than the fried chicken. The place had good iced tea and the service was good. It was not crowded at 1745 on a Saturday.
I’m going to go back later and try the chicken fried steak.
