El Tovar Dining Room at El Tovar Hotel on Urbanspoon

Last Wednesday morning, on our last day in Grand Canyon National Park, we had breakfast at the El Tovar. There were six of us, and we were seated next to a large picture window overlooking the Canyon. It was great!

I had two eggs over easy, with a thick and tasty slab of ham. It included some roast potatoes, and an english muffin. I got a side of bacon. All of this was perfectly cooked and really good; the bacon in particular was that perfect blend of crunch and flavor. I got iced tea (real, and brewed!) and orange juice with the meal.

Service was perfect. My check was $24.81. A touch on the expensive side; the side of four slices of bacon was $4.50, and the orange juice was $4.95. But you pay a premium for that view, so every once in a while, it’s OK. I would go back.
