Wendy's Old-Fashioned Hamburgers on Urbanspoon

Ian and I were heading home Monday evening, and needed dinner, so I suggested Wendy’s. I used Google Maps to find the nearest location on the way home, and it turned out to be 37th and Lincoln.

We got there about 2100, and left about 20 minutes later. We both got a double cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was far from the worst I’ve had, but it was not bad at all. I like Wendy’s beef, and the burger was cooked pretty much like a good burger needs to be cooked: texture and a bit of a crust. The beef wasn’t exactly bursting with flavor, but it beat the heck out of what Sonic (for example) uses.

I got tea (pretty good) and Ian got DP (also pretty good). The burgers were cooked in real-time, and so came out hot.

Of the major chains, Wendy’s is probably the best for cheeseburgers. McDonald’s and Burger King are both bland bland bland.

Our check was $16.86. The staff was super friendly. Not a bad experience.
